Modula' Rig System
 

The Ulti-Head is designed to be the ultimate in low-cost yet precise and portable motion control head. But now it is even more versatile as it is specifically designed to be a very modular motion control system with easy addition of extra axes of motion. In particular, the axis of Track adds a tremendous degree of freedom to the Ulti-head and any shoot. The track axis can be supplied in 2 versions. The lightweight track dolly is ideal for very portable requirements, but where additional lift may be required or more accurate results are needed MRMC also produce a heavy duty track dolly. The heavy duty track dolly is one part of the Modula' Rig system that allows the user to add different axes of motion depending on the shoot requirements. The Modula' Rig system can consist of a head with track, or a head with lift or both. You can also add a Jib-arm to allow for rotational movements and greater lift. The Modula rig base is designed to run on special precision bearing rail but it has the option to also run on industry standard rail. You can also use any part simply as a model-mover for moving objects within the shot. By adding a high-speed track motor and dolly system, as well as some industry standard rails, a whole new range of shots can be accommodated for very little additional cost. As an added benefit the track axis is "back-driveable" meaning that it can be pushed manually to record the motion, just like a normal dolly, and then the motion can be repeatedly played back as often as required, or even the data exported to CGI.
