IMC Conversions
Mark Roberts Motion Control can provide a variety of upgrades for equipment originally manufactured by IMC. The original IMC rigs had solidly built motion control mechanics, but they were slow compared to modern standards and the software is obsolete and outdated.
The upgrade can be as simple as upgrading the software and electronics to allow the IMC machine to be controlled from Flair with all its modern features including Target-Tracking and CGI interfacing. Or it can involve a complete upgrade of the mechanics including upgrading to high speed servomotors and servicing to improve the rigidity and smoothness of the movement.
Standard upgrades normally improve speeds of the system several fold, and also increase smoothness. Here is a recent success story from an operator of an upgraded IMC rig:
