Mark Roberts Motion Control’s Flair software can take full control of Video Tape Recorders (VTRs), Digital Video Recorders, Disk Recorders or any other device using the industry standard Sony RS-422 Protocol. This gives Flair control over recording and playback, fully synchronised to any motion control movement. Flair can even control the VTRs down to single frames allowing all of Flair’s animation features to be used with video.

The VTR controller the hardware required to give full RS-422 capabilities to Flair. Each VTR controller has 2 ports which can be set to RS-422 or RS-232, depending on the final application.
